Internet Marketing Juggernaut

The gap between overwhelming success and total failure is razor thin.

Here’s a fun example…

If I step in front of a beer truck on a busy street, I am killed. But if I wait just an extra 1-2 seconds, I get to live another 78 years. Huge, profound difference… which you can attribute to an extremely small 1-2 second delay.

This marginal gap… this 1-2 seconds… helps you understand the winner take all phenomenon. In the business world this translates to supreme power.

Here’s why…

If you are the first person to create a new product in a new niche, you gain an advantage. Most entrepreneurs work extremely hard to be first. They want to win. It’s a matter of pride and competition. The killer instinct…

But why? Have you ever thought about the psychological drive to be number one? What chemicals are floating round in your brain to cause this? What electrochemical triggers are turned on and off?

You can ignore that for a second. Instead, just be really practical. Be brutal. Take a look at the phenomenon of first mover advantage. When you are first… people see you as being first. So what? Well, that first position is mentally transformed by other people… into the “FACT” that since you are the first, you are the BEST.

Of course, think about this. It’s hogwash!

In fact, being first often means that you rushed your product to the market. You cut corners. You are being risky. Now, this isn’t always the case, but it’s often the case…

So, what does this mean for you?

Quite simply that… you need to face reality. Just accept the fact that other people actually believe that being first means that you are the best. Being number one means… being number one. Embrace it. Love it. Accept it.

You should use the fact that you are first as much as possible…

By the way, this also helps you understand what “speed to market” really means. When you’re fast, you’re seen as better… this is true even if your product isn’t literally or qualitatively better than what other folks are spitting out.

Does this mean you should throw crap into the market? Of course not. But as Dan Kennedy would say, good enough is good enough. You can also come back to the market with version 2.0 or some other upgrade.

Now, how does all of this explain my internet marketing juggernaut tagline? And, the title of this post? There are a few things:

  • I’m the first to market with this tagline. It has deep meaning to me personally because I’m relentless. I believe in the true power of being an unstoppable forward moving force.
  • I like the word “juggernaut” because it’s unique. It’s fresh. It’s fun.
  • I like Marvel comic book character called the Juggernaut because he’s an unstoppable forward moving force. He’s so huge and powerful, it’s ridiculous and that is awesome.

But, there’s more…

When you take small steps forward you are gaining strength. You are getting an advantage. You can building confidence and power. You are becoming your own juggernaut.

Most people fail because they give up too soon. They lack confidence. They lack the willpower to drive forward in the face of repeated failures. They don’t accept that entrepreneurs must be juggernauts to succeed.

But WHY?

Because business is hard. Business success takes time. It’s a journey and without your own internet marketing juggernaut… you cannot succeed.

So, my blog tagline isn’t just my tagline… it’s YOUR tagline too. I believe that you are a juggernaut… you are an unstoppable forward moving force. You will move fast into a market. You will fight through the pain. You will never stop until you reach your dreams.

But listen up… right here, right now… I need your help…

It’s easy to help. Just tell me…

What has stopped you from being totally successful? Explain your barriers. Explain your frustrations. Explain what stops you from winning more often… right there, in the comments section below…

I just sat through the first 5 hours of the intro session and learnt so much! I have already got my head around how I need to focus more long term instead of quick fix. Although Just a few of the gold nuggets I learnt have already helped me to optimise my on page SEO

Thanks! I am looking forward to the next marathon recordings!

John
An excellent post… so totally true in all respects.

Susan… there are ways to help yourself “get” that faith.
The old “act as if ” principle would certainly work here.
Act as if.. you HAD faith..Practice it all the time,
talk to yourself all the time ..positively.

Name your doubts as they come up….that one of you
bagging groc when you are old.. Name that doubt or fear..
talk to it.
Ex. “Oh Elmer, it’s you again.. you might as well go away
because I am NOT listening to you etc.
Go find some one else…
and on and on.
Make a game of it.
Even Shakespeare said, “Assume a virtue….”

Hang out with successful people who support you
not tear you down.
You might have to find new friends?

Read the classic motivational books that never
go out of fashion like ” Think and Grow Rich”,
The Magic of Thinking big” and dozens more.
Invest in yourself and read and listen to stories
of success daily.
Think of some mantras and repeat them
to yourself over and over…like
“If others can , I can too!”

Same thing with affirmations.

These things work, Susan.

This is just the very tip of the old ice burg.

There are hundreds of ways to help you believe in yourself.

Then , you will believe in this way of making money,
because it works too
IF you take action and dont quit before the
magic happens. (Brian Johnson.. paraphrased)

I believe in you, because I know that you can do this!

I hope I didn’t sound “preachy” I didnt mean to.. only helpful.

John,

All I can say is WOW! Last Wednesday’s Juggernaut session #1 blew me away! I have spent a lot of time on webinars and even more time attending real live seminars, and I have to say that the VALUE you provided in that one evening session is way more than what I paid for the whole Juggernaut course, and more than I paid for some other courses as well!

I’m really looking forward to the next 4 sessions, and I am clearing my Wednesday nights for the next month!

Thanks for all you are doing here!
Dan

Hey John,
Good post. I am working on a subconscious fear of being successful. Consciously I know I will succeed. Everyday I do a baby step, no matter how small.
One thing that would be nice is to have someone to actually talk to that actually knows what I am talking about.
Have an awesome and inspiring day.

Joe,

I totally forgot about the issue the Juggernaut had with the Hulk. I’ll need to go reference that one.

p.s. I really enjoyed Planet Hulk. More a great idea than great execution, but I’m cool with that.

Myron,

It can be painful starting out with no money. The good news is that you can make money even if you have no money. A great way to do that is by offering services. You know, things like articles writing, proofreading, graphic design, customer support and so much more. Then, once you have some cash, reinvest in your business.

I loved the Juggernaut charcater as well,(I was a big time comic book collector as a young teen)But the unstoppable force was stopped once, when he battled the HULK! But I do like your anolog .I sometimes wonder how many people were on the brink of succcess and the quit just befor they were going to break threw.Imagine if Edison has stopped with the failure that happened just befor he perfected the light bulb!
